We need a detail-oriented, proactive professional with a solution-focused mindset who values continuous learning. This leader will take ownership of executing and delivering the technical roadmap. It’s crucial that this individual not only possesses technical expertise but also demonstrates exceptional leadership skills and a track record of driving excellence within development teams. You will lead a global team of developers, data engineers, QA analysts, and IT engineers, ensuring maximum efficiency.

Your Day to Day:

Team Leadership & Operations Management:

• Lead a high-performing, globally distributed team, managing their respective leaders.
• Ensure seamless operational execution across all locations, upholding high standards for deliverables.
• Foster effective communication across multiple time zones.
• Set clear goals for team leaders, prioritize tasks, and monitor progress to ensure achievement.
• Gather unfiltered feedback from team members, promote accountability, and advocate for continuous improvement to maximize performance and productivity.
• Implement training programs to enhance technical expertise and maintain high performance standards.

Road-map Delivery:

• Take full ownership of the technical roadmap delivery process, overseeing planning, execution, and completion of development projects with precision. Align efforts with business objectives and enforce strict deadlines.
• Ensure timely and high-quality project completion, overcoming obstacles with a “failure is not an option” mindset to meet KPIs and achieve company objectives.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, particularly product management and quality assurance, to ensure development efforts are aligned with company targets.
• Proactively identify potential issues and implement solutions before they escalate.

Technology & Operational Efficiency:

• Cultivate a culture of continuous optimization in the tech stack, IT infrastructure, cloud operations, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring top-tier performance, security, and availability.
• Advocate for automation and streamline operations for the fastest delivery without compromising quality—you won’t settle for anything less than the best.
• Stay ahead of emerging technologies and development methodologies, implementing innovative and efficient solutions.

Your experience:

• 5+ years of proven leadership experience in development operations within the iGaming or online gaming sector, with a history of delivering results under pressure.
• Strong experience managing global remote teams, ensuring peak performance and productivity.
• Proven expertise in software development methodologies (Agile, Lean), cloud infrastructure, and development frameworks.
• Deep understanding of SDLC, CI/CD, DevOps culture, and cloud operations.
• Proficient in PHP, JavaScript (including Angular & React), WordPress, and Cloudflare Workers, with a proven ability to deliver complex technical solutions.
• Experience with database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and caching solutions (e.g., Redis/RabbitMQ).
• Knowledge of website security using Cloudflare, including configuring Web Application Firewalls (WAF), SSL/TLS encryption, and mitigating DDoS attacks to ensure protection and high availability.
• Fluent in English (both written and verbal), with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel frequently to Malta, Sofia, and Cameroon for in-person team management and operational oversight.
