£75,000 to £85,000 plus bonus, plus benefits

10 month FTC

 

Our client is large scale consumer focused business with both retail and ecommerce routes to market. They are embarking on a transformation project through the implementation of a major new piece of operational software focused on their retail operations. This software will form the spine of the business and our client is looking to hire an Implementation Manager to lead the project.

Responsibilities & Requirements

This software touches every aspect of the business, impacting every function and department. The software is primarily designed to offer operational excellence as they support their retail customers, but even touches upon their online operations too. A highly technical background is not required for this position. Of more importance are strong project management / implementation management skills, coupled with excellent soft skills, which will enable you to create collaborative cross functional working, but also drive urgency when needed.

Responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and mapping process changes between the current and future BAU operations, assisting in setting the details of new policies and procedures
  • Liaise with the supplier in configuring and customising screen layouts and system functionality
  • Liaising with the supplier helping to create retail facing dashboards for our retail business partners use
  • Liaise with department heads across the business to map, understand, and communicate internally the impact of the functionality changes to the transferring team members from the OL
  • Support the incoming team members, help in the creation of all new how to guides, operations manuals, and help content in both physical and digital mediums
  • Working with other areas of the business to ensure functionality and training meets all requirements from compliance to player protection, customer and retail contact including financial operations
  • Working with retail multiple groups to understand their training systems and operating processes, assisting in delivering bespoke content and information to meet their requirements
  • Ensure all teams ready and confident to use new systems and follow new procedures
  • Create seamless process integration between departments and functions enabling efficient and effective operation
  • Relevant retailers trained and signed off prior to go live in 2024
  • Develop clear and engaging communication and support guide content

Key skills & requirements include:

  • Ideally experience working within a major retail group or large scale consumer goods supplier
  • Experience in either delivering process change within operations, customer support or finance, or delivery of software change implementation
  • Practical project management experience or delivery
  • Retail support function experience, understanding the needs of “sharp end” operators, and appreciative of different retail customer types
  • Experience in helping to develop training guides for new technology systems
  • Flexible in approach, solution focussed and comfortable in managing detail
  • Internal customer focused, with a partnership led approach, able to work with a wide number of business stakeholders, internally and externally
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong presentation and facilitation skills, conveying messages concisely
