SAP – Process Improvement Specialist

Our client is a leading supplier of digital casino games to land based venues both in the UK and internationally. They are a subsidiary of a largescale international group which generates annual revenue in excess of €3bn and employ over 15,000 people globally.

The group is now going through an international transformation project, transitioning their SAP systems to the latest version – SAP S/4HANA. Our client is now looking to hire an SAP Specialist who will lead this transition project from a UK perspective and interact extensively with the wider international group, as part of this process.

Job Summary:

The SAP Process Improvements Specialist will act as the primary liaison between stakeholders and developers, providing technical leadership and ensuring compliance with internal standards. The role involves creating roadmaps, scoping future projects, and ensuring the successful implementation of SAP process improvements. The specialist will be responsible for evaluating change requests, documenting business requirements, and mapping existing processes while ensuring seamless collaboration between business teams, SAP developers, and third-party providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Requirement Analysis & Documentation
    • Evaluate business change requests and fully document detailed business requirements.
    • Map and document current business processes in the SAP system, identifying potential areas for improvement and optimization
    • Work with cross-functional teams to gather insights into existing workflows and processes within SAP.
  • Point of Contact & Communication
    • Serve as the single point of contact between business teams, SAP development team, and third-party providers.
    • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration to articulate and translate business requirements into clear, actionable steps for technical teams.
  • Test & Application Support
    • Develop and facilitate a robust testing strategy, ensuring that new SAP processes and enhancements are thoroughly tested before deployment.
    • Support and oversee the application of SAP solutions to ensure quality and compliance with business requirements.
  • Roadmap Creation & Scoping and Continues Improvement
    • Proactively identify opportunities for process optimisation, lead the creation of a detailed roadmap for process improvements and future projects.
    • Define clear project scopes, objectives, and timelines to ensure successful delivery of SAP-related initiatives.
    • Drive the adoption of SAP best practices to continuously improve system performance, efficiency, and user experience.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education & Experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • 3+ years of experience working with SAP systems, particularly in process improvement and change management.
    • Proven experience in managing and documenting business requirements for SAP-related projects.
  • Technical Expertise
    • Solid understanding of SAP modules (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, SAP MM, SAP SD, SAP FICO) and their integration with business processes.
    • Knowledge of SAP configuration, testing, and troubleshooting processes.
  • Communication & Leadership
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Ability to lead cross-functional teams, ensuring clear communication between developers, stakeholders, and third parties.
  • Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess and optimize complex business processes.
    • Proactive approach to identifying opportunities for process improvement and mitigating risks.
  • Project Management
    • Experience in project scoping, planning, and managing timelines.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP Certification (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate) or similar.
  • Experience working in an agile development environment.
  • Familiarity with change management methodologies and tools.
