Salary: c. £34,000 + Industry Leading Pension + Private Medical

This is an incredibly exciting opportunity to join one of Scotland’s leading distillers. They have an incredibly diverse portfolio of single malt and blended Scotch whisky accompanied by several other premium spirit brands adding real depth to their range of products. Their collection is renowned both domestically and internationally.

They are seeking a talented Assistant Brand Manager to join their marketing team based near Glasgow. Where you will be assisting with the marketing activity for one of their Speyside single malt distilleries steeped in over 120 years’ of heritage, with 9 core expressions of varying age statements, and located in one of the most idyllic locations on the British Isles.

The Role In Brief

Working directly with the Senior Brand Manager to assist in the strategic development of the brand including communication planning & execution, PR, promotion activity and packaging development. You will deliver annual brand plans and toolkits for implementation within target markets, driving value through volume, predominantly through NPD initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • A strong understanding of marketing strategy and P&L commercials to develop market specific brand plans to deliver commercial targets for the business
  • Implementing and delivering brand plans to internal and external stakeholders, reporting on progress vs KPIs
  • Duties for delivering brand plans include:
    • Working effectively with marketing service agencies and ensure good value
    • Keeping within allocated brand budget allocation
    • Create and deliver presentations internally and to key customers when required
    • Organise and attend consumer and trade events and exhibitions
    • Understand brand strategy and positioning to manage the creative development process
  • Collect and analyse information pertaining to markets to develop key brand objectives & provide strategic marketing guidance for the business.
  • Develop marketing communication strategies; identify target audience, objectives, message and media for all aspects of the promotional mix.
  • Create pricing strategies that are both sustainable and competitive.
  • Work closely with the Senior Brand Manager and internal stakeholders to deliver effective brand toolkits

Working Conditions

  • This is a hybrid Home/Office role that will require some travel to international markets
  • You will be required to work additional hours outside of your regular working pattern when necessary for the business

Personal Profile

  • Degree level educated preferably in Marketing/Business
  • Experience in FMCG brand/product marketing
  • Strategically minded
  • Innovative and analytical
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skillset
  • Driven and dedicated to managing your own personal career goals and business development
  • Good influencing skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • CIM Professional Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing (DipM)
