An opportunity has arisen for an experienced brand marketing professional to join the team of a well-known branded FMCG food business and be responsible for owning the management of one of the business’ premium brands, as well as leading social and PR strategy on another.

As a valued member of the Marketing team, you will be responsible for driving profitable growth for your owned brand. You will lead all aspects of the marketing mix to drive results, including packaging, NPD, brand planning, and comms. With strong brand passion and first-class communication skills, you will bring the brand top of mind with internal stakeholders, customers, consumers, and agencies. You will also have the opportunity to own and manage the PR & Social media agenda for another of the business’ brands, developing both strategy and content.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Play a key role in brand strategy and development of the 3-year plan
  • Own, develop & execute the 1-year marketing & activation plan including pack, product, pricing & promotions
  • Work cross-functionally to set the right quality standards for our products and ensure consistent delivery
  • Lead the development of new products for your owned brand
  • Own the ongoing management of PR, social strategy & content calendar for the secondary brand
  • Lead the execution of successful brand plans in the market, whilst working with commercial, category, and operational teams
  • Manage external agency relationships across advertising, media planning, PR & pack design
  • Manage the marketing budget to achieve annual and longer-term objectives

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Demonstrable full mix brand marketing experience
  • A proven track record within FMCG
  • Experience in innovation and NPD/EPD
  • Experience in using data to generate insight
  • Financial awareness and understanding – used to working with profit and loss
  • Experience in management of and developing content for social media is desirable

As well as the technical skills this role requires someone that is able to lead and manage multiple projects effectively and has strong communication and influencing skills, able to work with stakeholders at all levels. The culture is one of collaboration, but you will need to be able to work autonomously and really drive for the agenda of your brand, being results-focused and having a passion for brands.
