Our client is an SME beauty business that was started 15 years ago by a highly entrepreneurial individual. Positioned as a masstige brand and specialising more recently within natural products, they have won an array of awards across various different categories.
Current distribution is mainly across large pharmacy chains and the online channel, as well as some third party retailers, international and travel retail. Additional new SKU’s are in the pipeline for 2021. The brand is currently undergoing a rebranding exercise for all SKU’s, which this individual would very much be a part of. Currently employing a small number or peoples across Sales and Marketing functions, based in their London Head Office, the company is now looking for the right professional to lead and assist them with their ambitious targets both within the UK market and abroad.
The main objective of this position is to scale the business. You will be accountable for the overall growth of brand awareness, order volume, net revenue, net profit and managing the team. You will achieve these results by opening new doors, managing and evolving the internal systems, collaborating with and directing the existing Sales and Marketing team as well as developing the team and the company’s sales and marketing strategy as it grows.
- Develop the business alongside the Founder
- Drive exceptional order volume, turnover and capital efficiency
- Open key accounts globally, directly with the retailers and occasionally with agents/distributors where permitted
- Manage and work collaboratively with the Sales and Marketing team and build digital marketing expertise within the company
- Develop internal systems that manage all aspects of the business as it grows
- Understand the business’ customers and the competitive landscape
It is important that the successful applicant has a strong network Internationally and has a proven record of winning and growing new business overseas, ideally within the US and Europe. Experience in managing large key accounts like Boots, Sephora, QVC and Amazon are a must. As this is a growing business, it is also key to have the ability to implement basic internal processes across all functions and influence the day to day running of the company.
We are looking for somebody who can implement fast and sustainable growth. Experience working within an SME beauty/skincare company in a 360 sales role is essential. The business is small and you will be required to roll your sleeves up and get on with things. A background managing and developing an effective team is imperative. A passionate, personable and charismatic individual with great sense of humour will fit in well with this small hardworking team.
