Interim Commercial Manager – Top 4 Grocery (Frozen Food)

Day Rate Negotiable – Dependent on Experience – Immediate Start

Location – Home Based

 

As a market leader in the frozen food category, my client turnover £60m in the UK and are part of a larger European group that turn over in excess £300m, supplying a high-quality range of products. There are 13 sites across Europe with three of those in the UK.

They have a strong presence within foodservice supplying all the major wholesalers and end user customers and are constantly looking for new and innovative ways to grow. They have recently launched new products into a number of retailers across Europe, including Aldi, Lidl and Carrefour, as this has resulted in tremendous growth, they are looking to replicate this in the UK and launch into the top 6 multiples.

As Commercial Manager you will be responsible for leading the full process alongside the Group Commercial Director, to create a strategic business plan to take the products to market. You will be heavily involved in Category insight and NPD and will be expected to use your existing network of contacts with the major multiples to gain new business. You should have excellent working relationships both internally and externally.

To be considered for this opportunity, it is essential you have experience working for an FMCG food manufacturer, within the frozen category. You must have recent experience of working with top 4 accounts and have a high level of commercial acumen and numerical skills. You must also have experience working with own label products.

There may be an opportunity for a permanent position however at this stage they are eager to bring someone in on an Interim basis for three days a week to work remotely. It will involve a two stage interview process both via teams.
