Fentimans is one of the UK’s largest and most instantly recognisable family owned soft-drinks businesses. The brand has a rich history, starting in 1905 when Thomas Fentiman acquired the recipe for botanically brewed ginger beer after striking a deal with a fellow tradesman. Back then the product was stored in stone jars and delivered door-to-door by Thomas himself using a horse and cart for transport! Things have evolved a lot since then, but Fearless, Thomas’ faithful family dog still proudly guards every bottle to this day!
With over 100 years of experience in botanically brewing beverages the brand is known for its superior quality, craftsmanship, and unsurpassed flavours! The business has grown significantly since its inception and has ambitions to further this success, ensuring its unique range of Soft Drinks, Mixers and Tonics are available to consumers across the country.
The Role
As Key Account Manager you will play a vital role in developing and maintaining relationships with key customers across the On Trade, Travel and Workplace, with emphasis on growing distribution and volume in mid-size groups (25+ Sites) nationwide. You will be responsible for delivering the Distribution, Revenue & Trading Margin budget set by your National Account Manager.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- GROW a specific set of existing Out of Home customers. These accounts will be based in the On Trade, Travel & Leisure, or Workplace.
- Adopt a category approach to selling to Win the Hearts & Minds of your customers always.
- Create annual Joint Business Plans and Maintain trading agreements with all your customers.
- Create commercial models for all your customers.
- Forecast your own volume, revenue & investment in line with company framework.
- Minimum Quarterly Customer Meetings with key customer contacts including Buyer, Marketing & Logistic teams.
- Develop and maintain relationships with Route To Market Sales Managers. Understand and influence forecasting where possible.
- Attend Tradeshows & events where appropriate
- Understand category and competitor set to improve sector knowledge.
- Work with On-Trade Marketing team to plan and implement activity across all relevant partners to align with JBP annual marketing activations
