Legal Counsel – B2B iGaming Provider
Our client is listed on the Stockholm First North NASDAQ and is a fast-growing technology provider to the online casino industry. Their technology is supplied globally, with strong distribution across Europe and Asia. The business is part of an international group and is now quickly scaling up their European operations and has major ambitions for growth and expansion.
We are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel/Legal Counsel with strong iGaming experience to join a publicly listed group headquartered in Sweden, with scope to take lead and have impact.
Key responsibilities
- Report to Head of Legal
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage complex iGaming commercial agreements, including provider, operator, platform, and related agreements
- Manage compliance matters, licensing, regulatory obligations, and internal controls in relation to the UKGC, MGA, and other jurisdictions
- Conduct legal and regulatory risk assessments
- Review, draft, and implement legal and compliance policies and procedures
- Prepare and assess DD/KYC
- Support internal stakeholders on legal and regulatory matters
- Work closely with the Head of Legal on legal, compliance, and governance
Required experience
- Qualified lawyer
- iGaming background
- Experience in commercial contract law a must
- Strong expertise in drafting and negotiating iGaming commercial agreements
- Solid knowledge of compliance, licensing, DD/KYC, and policies
- Ideally exposure to working within the UKGC and MGA jurisdictions
